I make 100% whole wheat bread from wheat I grind fresh. I sometimes barter it for home-grown fresh fruit and vegetables, and occasionally haircuts. I always offer to let them try a loaf before they decide whether they want to barter for it. I have also offered to babysit in exchange for fresh fruit and vegetables, but so far everyone has wanted the bread.

I haven't made ice cream yet this month, but you've inspired me. I'm thinking of making fresh peach and chocolate chip, the two flavors that I remember our family making when I was little.

Although I love it, I have never actually made a classic chocolate mousse. Once I've done that, I plan to branch out and infuse it with bitter orange--orange and chocolate is my favorite sweet pairing ever.
