I agree with many posters above - definitely the bathroom. Frame it with a white frame and a large white mat.

They look vintage so maybe a flea markets or thrift stores could be a good place to start? I found some very similar mugs that sold on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/73592760/vintage-80s-glam-gold-coffee-mugs

Maybe that seller can give you some hints?

Good luck - they are REALLY great!

I'm a fan of the stripes and the apple green as an accept color. Maybe not for everyone but I like a bold statement.

I did go to her blog and noticed the AT after shot above cut out the railings. Those would definitely be my next project. They are keeping the room feeling a bit dated.

I personally think you need some pattern just based on what you have posted so far and a rug would be a great way to bring that into the room. Here are some different ideas that I think would compliment your furniture well:

http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/clearancerugs/rugs-usa-cosmo/beige/200HSNTB2-508.html - the beige is reading more as grey to me which would go well with your grey/yellow sofas

http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/clearancerugs/rugs-usa-chevron/black/200AFGD31A-508.html - I don't think you can go wrong with classic black and white chevron

Also, Madeline Weinrib makes awesome rugs. They are a little more pricey, but she has some really amazing patterns. Any of the patterns in the cottons would look great.

You could bring in another color that compliments the yellow/grey like this aubergine:

Or stay neutral in color with something like this:

Can you tell I like big graphic patterns? Anyway hope some of this helps! I think rug shopping is SO tricky and I definitely know your dilemma. Good luck!

Britany - Is your rug the 5x8 or the 8x10? I'm definitely going to buy that rug but having trouble deciding which size I want. Thanks!

I LOVE the black hardwood floors! Animal print usually isn't my thing but in your space it looks really good! Also as a Dallas resident myself I'm super curious about what area you are in. Not sure I've ever really seen a place like this. Maybe Greenville/Lakewood?

The use of space is brilliant. But most of all I'm DYING for your rug. Where's it from please? Exactly what I need to finish off my living room! :)

Yes, that Trina Turk fabric does cost $100/yd. I just bought the exact same fabric to recover my dining room chairs. The good news is I was given WAY more than the 1 yard I ordered.

I have meaning to get to work on my chairs for a while - this is just the kick in butt I needed to get started. This chair is AMAZING!

The ceiling tiles in the kitchen are TO DIE FOR. Seriously, so cool. I'm assuming these were already a feature of the house? But definitely something I would consider adding to an older home. I am also loving your art in the bedroom of the chandelier as well as your purple phone in the office - such great pieces! Only thing that would drive me nuts its the bed without a headboard. A DIY upholstered headboard would look amazing in that room!

I just took a look back at your previous post (prior to painting the cabinets grey). I honestly think that this is the biggest problem. You liked that the kitchen was light and bright. But now given the grey cabinets it's lost a bit of that feel. If anything I would have painted the cabinets a brighter white. The grey cabinets almost seem to make the pink counter-top stand out more. Given what you had before I would go with white subway tiles and new hardware for the cabinets. I'm thinking pretty glass knobs from Anthropologie or something similar. You could even embrace the pink and go with something like this:

http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=870111&catId=HOME-HARDWARE&pushId=HOME-HARDWARE&popId=HOME-HARDWARE&sortProperties=&navCount=15&navAction=top&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=pin&templateType=&subCategoryId=HOME-HARDWARE-KNOBS

A pretty rug could really tie the whole thing together.
