Loora, thanks for your reply, and your English is very good. I like listening to Maxwell's accent, (as I am Australian) so will probably watch them again anyway. :)

Monsterkitty1 that is pretty sad.

Can anyone out there please respond about why you are using LAST YEAR'S VIDEOS? I have to admit to being disappointed, as I was hanging out for a new cure to motivate me once again. Watching the same videos again is not motivating at all....I may as well read a book I read last year, or go on vacation to the same place again, or sign up for the same evening class again...get my drift? Boring! :(

I was hoping this would be a new series...is this cure going to be the same videos as last year?

Each to their own xoxo...flylady didn't work for me. Maxwell's cure is a great kickstart that gets you doing things when you are feeling a bit stale round the home.
Need I say....I'm in as well! :)

Maxwell did you realise that you have the perfect size body for viewing art in museums and galleries? I noticed at the end that your eyes were exactly in the middle of the painting you had hung, lol. ;)

iori9 the advice given on the video is correct. The pills should be taken out of recognisable packaging, mixed with undesirable refuse such as coffee grounds, cat litter, etc, and put in either a sealed bag or container before throwing out. OR you can take it to a pharmacy. But never throw down sink or toilet of course.
I loved this video! Definitely makes me want to go to NY asap. Not sure about putting the shampoo in smaller bottles though, I am happy with our big pump bottles in the shower. But this video has reminded me to get some nice containers for storage of bathroom items under the sink. Thanks Maxwell..you rock.

Agreeing that the woodgrain in some of these is way over the top...nightmarish. Some great ideas in a few of these photos though.

Graphist...I have been thinking the same thing. I would love more topics instead, I got the flower message the first time, don't see why it has to be repeated over and over. The fruit was a nice change, but surely there are other options also? Down on bended knees begging Maxwell....madly fluttering eyelashes for good measure...

I have to admit that video was the one I have got the least out of in this series...don't feel I learned anything from it. Oh well, I enjoyed the music though and the shoes! We had our grout replaced but it has gone back to grungy again, didn't last, boo hoo... Planning to get the whole bathroom renovated next year so that will fix everything. ;)

Day 16: Clean One Room
The 20/20 Home Cure

Erggh...I am totally clueless in the fix-it department, if I could find a class near me for learning about doing stuff round the house I would be in like Flynn. We are getting renovations started next year, hopefully, so maybe I can learn a thing or two watching the builders?

Day 15: Fix One Thing In Your Home Yourself
The 20/20 Home Cure

I liked raemcadams idea and so I tried to do this for 20 minutes. I sat in a chair with no music on, no TV, no ipod, just listening to the soothing rumble of peak hour traffic and screeching brakes outside my house. After a minute I became very aware of the ringing in my left ear that never goes away. This was a great exercise, because it made me appreciate ipods and music and TV even more than I did before! ;)

Day 14: Media Fast
The 20/20 Home Cure

11/5/10 7:43 PM

It's Friday here in Australia...and Friday night is unwind in front of the telly night! So not a good night for a media fast, but I promise I will (try to) do this at a later date. ;) By the way I have to report some success with my book purge, I tackled the kids books and have actually found a total of 37 lovely books to donate to charity! :)

Day 14: Media Fast
The 20/20 Home Cure

11/4/10 7:07 PM

Well I didn't realise how much of a problem I had with decluttering books, till I started feeling panicky about YOU getting rid of Ursula's books...and when you said you're getting rid of Cat Stevens, my palms literally started sweating! They are not even my own things and I am still anxious about it!
So no wonder I can't face getting rid of my own books or records.

I have actually decided to keep my old LPs, they are too special, and I don't have that many that they are taking up much room. As for the books, I have enough to fill a small library, but I will try to get rid of one, or even two today if I get really brave. I have recently bought a Kindle which I love, but the old books that I love are all my art and craft books, so hard to part with.

I am also opposed to cut flowers, however I do love to keep a bowl of fresh fruit on my kitchen bench. You have reminded me to restock on fruit today! I will try to take a photo later to share.

Regarding the sound...sadly it has gone back to not being able to hear your voice. I was happy after the last video with the list of 6 things to do...the sound was crystal clear after something different was done?
I love the concept of this video though...tres amusant, tres bon. ;) Off to do dusting now, Maxwell you are the only man who makes me want to do dusting!

Day 9: Find a New Recipe and Cook Tonight!
The 20/20 Home Cure

10/29/10 7:15 PM

I had to giggle with embarrassment seeing my messy pantry cupboard there! (Cecilia Bell's)... Oh well at least now I have shown the whole world how overstocked and messy my pantry is, I am much more motivated to fix it up! It's much easier to not take action when it's still hidden from the world.
I am late joining this cure, but better late than never. Last night I finally started on the pantry, and was pretty shocked by how many jars of things I had with best before dates in 2007 or 2008. Out they all are going...except I am putting just a few things to the side that are less than a year past the date, and will see if I can use them within the next 2 or 3 weeks, including one jar of 3 yr old Sambal Oehlek which is basically just crushed chillies, I put on the bench and have decided to try a smidgeon later this week in some asian food.

Kitchen Cure Week 3: Restock Pantry & Tools
Fall 2010 Kitchen Cure

10/29/10 7:11 PM

Another day of not being able to hear a darn thing! The sound is coming out in mono...so the voice is coming out of the left speaker (or headphone if you wear headphones)....I need to wear headphones due to hearing issues, but as I am half DEAF in my left ear, I can't hear what you are saying at all now that it is in mono. :(
My eyes work thank goodness; I can see that you are cooking...something I do almost every day actually. Eating out is only something we do on special occasions, and we get home delivered food about once a month, usually thai or chinese food.
I sure wish I had your markets near me, they look out of this world/fabulous!
