Ah, c'mon, is it really that big of a problem? What if everything else in your house was well organized and comfortable? I like to think of junk drawers as boxes of sanity. You need to let a little chaos into your life or otherwise it'll find other more dangerous ways to infiltrate. Junk drawers are one nice stupid way to do that. Plus, it's really really awesome to have that one drawer where everything goes when you have exactly 30 seconds to clean up. Is one junk drawer really that unhealthy? I think not. OR just DIY. All you need is a print of your personality of choice, a stack of old magazines, markers, and scissors. Honestly. That way you get to deface who you want, and its awesomeness will amplified because of the DIY factor. And it's fun. Honestly Abe? |

At first one may think this is all too precarious and fussy, but honestly it's ballsy and I love it. Who the hell cares if you would find it difficult to live in - no one's asking you to! Spatially, my last apartment was an incredible place for entertaining (lots of space and a huge shared patio) - but unfortunately, I hated living there for other reasons, as a result hardly decorated it, and as a result it lacked any home-vibe despite living there for 2 years. So I just really didn't feel comfy have people over at a place I didn't like. (I had one party during those 2 years) What Keeps You From Entertaining More Often? |

I think the temporary feeling is what sums it up. I can definitely appreciate and respect sparsity and minimalism - but maybe I've just see it done in a way that still feels "settled" and well..like home. Frederic's Chic & Petit in Toronto House Tour |

To those who said it looks like a typical college dude flat? No kids, most would be FAR more strategic about anything blocking the bed... hehe. Frederic's Chic & Petit in Toronto House Tour |
