We tried the Navarro Vineyards Gewürztraminer Grape Juice at the recommendation of our waiter at the Farmhouse Inn Restaurant and fell in love. We've bought it by the case since. It really is a treat.

I agree with LittleMissSunshine . . . this is not attractive graffiti at all. It just looks like tagging. If it was artistic and beautiful in some way, I might check it out.

This is super cute (the idea and the baby!) I love the realistic shadow details against the wall.

Lovely home! I like how clean and airy it looks. There is so much room to run around and play for the lucky little one. Babies are amazingly good at learning to navigate their surroundings, so the sharp corners don't alarm me.

It's funny . . . as soon as I saw the photo of the color-arranged books, I knew I would scroll down to see comments by people who dislike the idea. I like it. As a graphic artist myself, I am actually more likely to remember the way a book cover looks (the color, placement of the graphics, typeface) than I am to remember the book's author. I never go to my bookshelf to find any old book on a particular topic; I go to get a specific book that I can picture in my mind vividly. The color thing makes sense to me, and it looks less "cluttered" to my brain. To each his/her own.

Thanks for sharing your home!

What a creative idea! Hampers always seem to be uber ugly or crazy expensive, so this is a great solution. Filing away for future reference . . .

I agree with what other posters have said about thinking long and hard about what you really need to keep before deciding to get a storage space, but we fall squarely in the category of needing a storage unit. We live in a small condo with limited storage so we rent a small storage space a few blocks away where we keep things like camping gear (that we actually use), our vintage Christmas tree, suitcases, spare paint and flooring tiles from our DIY projects around the house, and my bike which doesn't fit in our bike room. I like to keep our condo neat and clutter-free, and there is just no storage for these things in our unit. We love the flexibility of our "extra closet".

I live in California, and we are required to pay tax to the state of California, whether Amazon collects it for us or not. Lots of people probably don't follow that rule, and that is why the state pushed so hard to get Amazon to do the heavy lifting for them.

The ONLY fair system that won't put an immense drain on internet shops (imagine having to collect, track, and report 50 different tax rates! It's insane!) would be for there to be a flat tax rate for all states for all internet purchases. This would also ease the burden on local business and would make it easier for consumers. Until then, it's a few states causing lots of headaches for online merchants for their own benefit.

Sometimes you can find things locally for even cheaper! I priced out glucose for some of the cookies in the Momofuku Milk Bar Cookbook, and it was close to 50% cheaper to buy the smaller tubs at our local Michael's store (check the cake decorating section.) I'm all for Amazon for purchasing things you can't find locally, but when you can find it down the street, please buy local!

Mmmmm . . . I just made these tonight, and they are delicious! These are going into our annual cookie rotation for sure. PS: Cost Plus had little bags of the peppermint straws.

$4,000 for a sofette doesn't seem mid-range to me, but the items are lovely. Sadly, this is going on my "in case I win the lottery" list.

@hinmelb, that was my first thought too! That would be one gigantic room.

This is really lovely. All the little sweet touches are just perfect, and the color scheme is so calming. It's refreshing to see a girls' room without any pink in sight. Adorable.

I think splitting up the two types of content was a mistake. We occasionally watch the online content, but the selection is pretty lame, so it wouldn't be worth subscribing to that alone. We supplement with DVD's for the things we really want to see and are willing to wait for, but we don't rent enough of them to warrant a separate subscription. For us, the combined DVD/online content made it just barely worth it to stay a subscriber.

Now, if they got the rights to stream more current content, even at a higher price, I would be happy to pay for that. We susbcribe to Hulu plus for the more current TV content to supplement our network-only cable plan.
