ps. i guess I'm on my way to happiness right now then (well, perhaps tomorrow morning after I get some rest) because these are the three principles I am applying to my life and home (which definitely mirrors my "inner home" in every way)...
for keeping your place decluttered I swear on the flylady system. i don't really "follow" it but rather draw inspiration from it, and it is a very no-nonsense approach that really really works for creative/chaotic individuals (like myself)

Hi KylieD, can you tell me where is the rug from? I don't feel like looking hard enough right now... it's 1 am in Berlin and I should be sleeping, but instead here I am drooling over beautifully designed spaces...
I definitely agree, having people over is a great motivator, it's been the best/only one for me for a while, but now I am trying to keep my flat pretty just for me (and my son)

My only words when looking at those photos were (well, not actual words):
WOW
WOW
WOW!
Please do a house tour.
It's the best I have seen here (and I've seen many good things) in a long time.

8 Stylist's Tricks That Really Work

Hi, for the frugal amongst you there are plenty of super green cleaning products you can make yourself. After all, the idea is that they have to be made with natural ingredients. One thing that I find really effective and use all the time is a mix of water (about a pint), 20-30 drops of good quality tea tree oil, some esential oil of your choice to give it a nice smell (I use lavender), white vinegar and a nice drop of dish detergent (since it is only one drop I actually use the regular one). It is great for cleaning kitchen surfaces, cuts grease and disinfects. Recommended for everyday cleaning though, as it does not cut through thick grease, etc. But it smells delish, it is really green and costs only a few pennies. There are loads of other ideas online as well!

lovely colour, I agree that the solid looks definitely better than the lines. Very well done, simple and inspiring!

Quick question though? Did you say it took her 1 year (?) to find white faux leather?

Before & After

Very, very boring. I also expected much more from the way they describe their style. Travel? Well, all I see is Manhattan maps in there. Maybe they just meant travelling inside the city they already live in!
And then there is IKEA stuff everywhere... and clutter! Every tiny space seems to be filled up. I can understand you may need a desk or table in your living room, but get rid of the humongous couch or be more creative!! For example, by giving things more than one use.
Their advise about hiring an architect? If this is what you get: I don't think so!
Ok, I could go on and on about why I really dislike this, but I believe you get the picture. Many things are wrong here.
