would you share the room dimensions? I am trying to convince a friend that life in the city will not be the death of her and she just can't believe a studio could be THIS liveable! I was once a blind southerner myself ;)

I like the kitchen but the bathroom is my favorite. Having spent some time in Korea where they have similar bathrooms I LOVED how easy this style is to clean. Just grab the shower hose and spray it all down, scrub, spray again and done!

Good job.

I don't comment much, but as a now 30 year old that shared a room with her brothers until she was about 16 (now 28 and 20!) I just need to say it can be done to those who doubt the sleep schedules or space restraints. There was never another option. My parents could have wasted money on a larger space or remained in our 2 bedroom apartment, thus maintaining financial security for our family. I think a lot of us in the 80 and 90s grew up sharing rooms and today the sentiment seems to be that children need their own room from a very, very young age. Brothers and sisters can co-exist in a shared room! It has made my brothers and I closer over the years...even when we can't stand each other because of something petty we have always been there for one another.
And to the safety police, kids get hurt. It happens. Period. My brothers fell off their bunk beds at first and then they didn't because they figured out their boundaries....we all need to breathe a little and remember that parents are not being selfish for living in a small space. Just maybe they are happy, content and financially secure because of it! When did living in your means become passe? I balm the McMansion boom!

With that said, I love this space. It works and seems easily transformable as they grow. I love that you made the space for a desk area. My parents did this too and it made our space feel complete somehow.

yes, could we get a source list for this mood board???? There are so many interesting pieces!

The in-laws joke was funny. Something I would joke about in front of my in-laws too! Ditto about the chair comfort and height level regarding ease of getting up and down. Can't wait to see more!

While I understand the joys of NYC rent control (I have friends who swoon over it) and I don't wish $2500 rent on anyone. How does a landlord maintain a building on a mere couple of hundred dollars a month?? (I assume there may be other people in the building too).

But seriously, not trying to sound like I'm a part of the 1% (I'm not...poor grad student here). But how is that possible? I would gladly pay more to insure cleanliness and repairs are done on time.

Where is the crib from? It may be the picture, but it looks longer than wider and would be great for our space. Thanks

Great green walls btw!!

Can I know where you got the alphabet pillow?

I love your small features---rug, pillow, wallpaper. This room has a nice splash of color with lots of personal accents! My current fav!

cleaned my bedroom today (similar to you). I see that your radiators aren't covered. I cleaned under my radiator covers this morning and YOOZA the dirt!

We have been toying with removing the covers and repainting the radiators. Does anyone have any thoughts on exposed vs covered radiators boxes?

btw..I like the rawness of the video. It gives a very authentic vibe, like you're doing this process with me. Also, maybe you wanna move that pot rack a little higher? I think you hit your head in the last video too. Seems to be a daily occurrence ;)

Thoughts on plants? Our little condo tends to get stuffy (something we are working on) and flowers with buds die fast!

I am thinking green plants in soil may be better, anyone have suggestions for low maintenance plants that hold up in dry, stuffy spaces (again working on this!)?
