We just sold our house of 20 years. Now in a rental for 1 year (our house sold very quickly) and then onto a beautiful rural place! It was the home where we raised our son and we had very happy memories. I was sad to leave. My husband reminded me that all the important "things" came with us...our family.

Arizona leather. They make custom couches for reasonable prices. I have a lovely comfy teenager-dog-cat proof one!

Thanks for the great idea AT! I was able to complete funding on a project. We are fortunate that our son attends a lovely high school and are happy to help make someone else's school better.

I have an 8 year old Ikea kitchen with Corian tops. We used the birch front cabinets, and some obscured glass. Nothing but praise for the durability of the kitchen! Our son is 13 and has been slamming drawers for years.

We had a professional install ours and we have never regretted it (and it was quite a bit more than $1400).

Ny son is a 5'10", size 13 shoe, 13 year old now.

When we brought him home from the hospital, he had been in the NICU for his first month, the result of a malpractice case (he is fine now).

The NICU taught him to wake up every 45 minutes and it was a nightmare! My husband and I made a deal- one of us was "on duty" every other night. On your night "off" we could get most of a nights sleep.

We worked really hard patting and rubbing, but not picking up our son (drs recommendation). In a couple of months, he was self soothing and sleeping through the night.

To this day, he is a wonderful sleeper, always wakes up in time for school and is a cheerful kid. This may not work for everyone, but sure did work for us!!

I use canvas bags to shop at Trader Joes each week. They sell them for $2 a piece. I think more people would consider using them for groceries and such if they didn't cost $10 a pop!
