We did have ours taken with Santa but every other year or so - I put a stop at 12... My parent's asked me to take my brother down who was 6 and he sat on Santa's lap, Santa was a bit too leary with me telling me "You look lovely..." while checking me out, I always looked a bit older for my age but it was just wrong! lol So no more Santa pictures for me... The barcelona chair is the chair that started me down my design loving ways... I loved it before I even knew what it was called and how much out of my price range it was! Ha I completed my clear out a few days ago... three bags full of carboot sales (I don't know what you would call them in the states.. jumble sales... garage sales... yard sales...) and some things that I just threw out. It always makes me laugh when people say the places looked staged! I'm not being funny but if someone was coming round to photograph my place I would stage it too... just reading this brings back nightmares from our last apartment! Place was pretty clean when we moved in and again when we moved out (my friends call me Monica in connection to Monica on Friends)... but the agents wanted to retain half of our deposit for a full days cleaning for things such as: - a hair on a tile in the bathroom (I kid you not ONE HAIR... she even took a picture of said hair), a spot of dirt on the cream carpet (again had a picture but the stain was so little she had to put a big red arrow next to it), a broken draw in the fridge which was broken when we moved in and I had been told would be replaced but never was, a spiders web in the corner of the room (OK I admit I missed the web but really?!) My first apartment took for ever to furnish as by the time I paid the mortgage there wasn't much left for furniture and I preferred to save up and buy things I really wanted than buy cheap stuff... Prawn (or shrimp) pasta with a chilli oil and bacon bits is my favourite home alone meal... par boil the prawns, boil pasta, fry off the bacon until really crispy and break into pieces, put prawns and pasta in frying pan where you have cooked off the bacon and pour some chilli oil over the whole thing, eat directly from frying pan =0) Cooking for One? 5 Unexpectedly Affordable Dinner Ideas |
