NO CHOCOLATE FOUNTAINS. Nothing grosses me out more than a bunch of people sticking their collective fingers into a recirculating mess of chocolate. *shudder*

The handles on cast iron skillets take a long time to cool down!

And don't add cold water to a hot Pyrex dish.

I can't say enough good things about this recipe! Quick, simple and delicious. Sometimes I only make half, using a can of 14oz tomatoes, etc. Leftovers also work as a pizza sauce.

2-burner trick is the only way to cook with a pressure cooker on an electric stove. I don't worry about burning my house down because I've trained myself to check for the little red 'on' light and I NEVER put anything flammable on the stove, even when the burners are off.

I've been reading this blog for close to a year and it's terrific. She's fair to the school and especially kind to the lunch ladies. She's anonymous but it's probably an accurate picture of lunches that are served all over the USA.

I found this recipe for homemade Cream of Chicken or Mushroom Soup on The Simple Dollar blog and I swear by it: http://www.thesimpledollar.com/2009/04/24/five-frugal-food-tactics-from-trents-kitchen/

I don't agree with the author's note that once recipe=a can, usually I double it if I'm making a casserole.

My dream of fluffy, yeasty, sugary homemade cinnamon rolls has been achieved! I made the dough last night and baked them up this morning.

I baked them in two pans and only glazed one. I'm going to freeze the non-glazed pan for another weekend using this as a guide: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,174,150187-253196,00.html
