Love the chalkboard wall. I work in my living room most of the time - which is open to the dining room and the kitchen (one big great room)! I wonder if my husband would mind if I painted a whole wall in the living room (about 30 feet long?) chalkboard!!! Hee hee. I also giggle whenever I hear "do you have a stud finder?" from a hunky Lowe's employee when I ask about what type of shelving or stuff to hang... My parents' house has a crate about your size for an overweight but very happy border collie that she loves hanging out in when she gets stressed or just wants a place to lay down and she's out of the way. She goes in and out of her own volition, not because she's made to. My parents actually put boxes up on it to put recyclables, cat food, dog food, etc. to keep out of the way. If the dog's happy in a crate, let it be. Before & After: No More Wasted Wall Space in This Home Office |

Sometimes, when I have a vacation day to take, as soon as my husband and son leave for work/school, I sprawl out in my bed and hog it for a while sleeping good and then when I get up, I sometimes walk around the house naked. I used to do this alot before baby which was decades ago...so whenever I get the chance, I do it. :-) The Secret Habits of Suddenly Single People |

No. My ragdoll, 18 lbs, squeezed through a diet coke 12 pack box when it was empty. He'll squeeze through that partition or knock it down somehow. If I had one, I'd fear I'd come home and find the ragdoll stuck in that opening trying to squeeze through or, worse, have knocked it off the table and it killed one of the other cats. -__- Tech Pet Life: Keeping Cats Off Your Laptop |

I can't sew worth crap, but definitely something I'd like to try. I think I'll try with my son's baseball tees...he's got them all from 5 yrs on up - regular season, fall ball, all stars, etc. Some tees are repeated annually so I have more than one. I filed this under my Favorites and will def try this one day!!! I once took a thin bookcase and put short feet on the bottom of it. I could slide it under the bed (which was high enough for it to slide under). I used it for shoes, my kid used it for legos. The shoe cubbies are excellent for that too! 12 Ways To Use a Bookcase In Your Home |
