@ Nomachicky: Where did you take your upholstery course - I live in Ontario and do quite a bit of re-covering but would love to take a course....Thanks oh and by the way; Foam IS Expensive her in Ontario Canada!! And I have cut foam myself and I don't know if it's because I'm left handed or just not good with a knife,,,,but I can not cut a straight even line!! My hubby even bought me an electric knife at the Goodwill - which works great and helped a lot but got dull very quickly! I would just invest my mooleh into some really great throw pillows and a fresh blanket!

One of those Ikea bookshelves is sitting in our apartment building's basement right now!...except all of the shelves are missing - what good it THAT?!

Oh My Gosh!! ...I only got to the first pic; orange wall paper in the bathroom!! .....deep breath, exhale through mouth; okay....I'll go back and catch up with the rest of the tour now..

You know....I've was just feeling the smatterings of guilt; as I look around my place: no pictures- no images of 'us' or 'him' or 'them'. I've always found it kind of weird to have a pic of you man on your bedside night table-if you've got the real 'mcCoy' right next to you each night! And those wedding pics - front and centre on your living room wall for all to see. Doesn't matter how beautiful the couple are or the day was, black and white or full-colour, glossy or matt; they just seem so....tacky compared to the old sepias of your great great grandparents that for some reason somehow seem more romantic. Besides,,,I'm in a freakin bikini! Do I really want everyone who comes into our home gawking at me half naked (should have thought of that Before the Nuptials!). But as the kids get older and life gets more stressful (teens! -ugh! :(), I think I could use some reminders of the simpler - dare I say easier? times. So I've decided to put a few up throughout our home (the bikini wedding pics will be staying in our bedroom), as mementos and reminders of good times from the past. And hopefully they will act like an elastic band snapping back on my wrist each time I'm about to 'freak out' Ouch!

Ooops! I must admit; 'spray paint' was in my vocabulary this weekend!! But my dear Hubby reminded me that we live in an apartment-where do I plan on spray painting our cabinet?! Good point!

I know you didn't ask for suggestions, and I don't believe I've ever given it on AT, but here's my 2 cents anyway,....all those books?....well, since you have so many and are working with such a small space, they would look spectacular colour-grouped! Just try it and see what you think! Dea

i really really really really love your place and get a very positive vibe from you and your home.

My friend and I tried our hands at creating her son's hand and feet as ink prints...we ended up with more on the babe-and us than on the actually feet-it was very fun!!

One day I 'popped' in on a friend and was astounded on how great his home looked-neat and tidy-no clutter-like it was ready for a showing. Flylady.net was his secret. And I've used her sage advise, cleaning tips and encouraging words ever since. I use the 27 fling boogie with clients when helping them declutter their closets.
