Hi

That is a great house... you'll find more of this sort of thing on the Design Files:

This links to an article on one of my favourite artists - she totally embodies the whole 'riot of colour and texture' - very fitting with the house above.

Another thing... I have 2 or 3 fitted sheets on my top mattress at a time. I have cats so it makes it easier to pull off a hairy layer and shove it in the wash. I also vacuum my bed at least once a week.

Some of you might find it useful to use a fitted sheet over the base instead of a valance - it's got cleaner lines and generally stays in place better. Also I use a few nappy pins to hold things together in some places - such as my doona moving around inside of the cover... if you pin the corners it helps a lot. Big pins won't rip the fabric either.

Everyone is thinking way too hard about this... just get a fitted sheet - buy 5 in different colours - and lay it out like a bed slip the fitted sheet over it and put it back as a couch. Easy. You can cycle them through, wash and replace super quick. You can even vacuum it for a quick clean when you're doing the floors.

@Borage

I had the same problem with a neighbours air con - they were running it all night and it was basically the same level of noise as a lawn mower - which is pretty hideous to sleep to. But I did some searching and in my area there is a law that states you can't make loud noise after 10pm and this included using aircon. I'm in Melbourne but I'm pretty sure it would be worth you looking up what laws and regulations are in your area. I just wrote a note saying the noise level wasn't ok and that the law states blah blah and they complied. If they didn't I was quite prepared to take it further.

Good luck!

I just wanted to say that you guys are really pushing this Young Adult film and it kinda sucks. I'm sure the film is good - but why do I need ads and posts in my face about it? It detracts from your website and your other more interesting less 'moving' ads.

Bad form.

I'm guessing this comment won't get published right?

Great idea! Regarding the tack holes... you can mush a little white toothpaste into them to cover them up if they are not too obvious.
