Okay, now I remember, the maker I was thinking of is France & Daverkosen, which was later known as France & Søn. If there are no maker's marks however, it may not be this, but perhaps a US maker doing their own version. That void at the back of the frame is quite unique. Sorry no answer, but keep hunting! There is a danish furniture maker on the tip of my tongue. Hard to recall through my grandfathers accent but he had a chair shipped to New Zealand (where he had emigrated)... will get back to you when I remember. Can You ID This Garbage-Day Find? Good Questions |
