I live alone and do not make a lot of garbage. It would take days and days to fill up a bin. Plus I have no room in my studio, plus I am too afraid of attracting vermin and the like.

This may sound weird but to avoid the smell of trash, I stick my little bag in the freezer overnight, "bag the knob" in the morning and take it out with me on my way to work.

Also, never try to treat the problem yourself.

Oh. I know the pain.

I've had them on an off for the past 6 months. My cheap _$$ landlord finally got around to getting someone in to exterminate, to no avail. They keep coming back. Why? Because he refuses to have the entire building treated. I've tried bombs, they didn't work for me. I haven't travelled, I don't have pets. I live in a "nice" building, in a "nice" neighborhood. That means nothing.

It got so bad that I have developed a severe allergic reaction to them and I'm being treated with medication.

One has to make sure that they use a reputiable company. They procedure should include an inspections and two visits. No less.

Developers don't care and they are greedy.

I've seen condo development, after condo development go up all over my neighborhood in downtown Brooklyn and vicinity. It's crazy. How can a building be developed and built in 3 months or less? It happens everyday and I am astonished by the number of people lining up to live in these places.

Build and they'll come.

I've been to this shop on a few occassions. She has lovely things but she and her staff person are really quite off-putting. I'm never quite sure if I'm actually supposed to buy something or tell her how great she is.

Very nice, but get rid of the track lighting.

I lived in Boston for years and I was always able to find wonderful apartments, that were affordable and had a lot of character. Don't miss the city but miss the spaces.

Anyway, this is the winner. So much personality, it looks livable and comfortable. Well thought out and the use of space in the kitchen is right on.

Love this book. I share it with friends when they come to visit me in my tiny space.

I really like this space. I want to definitely see more.

It's great because it's not uber-designed. And I can see you making good use of the prize.

Not to be neg, but I don't like the small houseplants. You need something large and a little over the top. Some palms or ficus tree would do.

Good luck.

Light, clean and functional. Perhaps a bit of color?

Other than that nice, real nice.

Very nice physical space.

Might you change the lay-out of the furniture? It looks a little busy. I would float that sofa so it creates a division between the bedroom and the living area.
