Cool. I'm not a drinker, but found one of these at a thrift store for 25 cents. I bought it for a friend.

Never. We eat most of our meals in the bedroom (just the two of us), so there's no need for that. I always eat breakfast at the table and we sometimes grab a meal there. I never grew up with them, so it seems odd to use them. We break out the tablecloths only for "big" (more than 2 people) holiday meals, not to protect the table, but to add some color.

Wow, I never knew what those were! I've seen them at thrift stores for a steal. Will definitely pick it up next time I see one.

Good to know about the pie crusts. Making a real pie crust is on my list of things-to-do this year, so I'll keep that in mind when I finally make it.

i love this to no end. I briefly looked at an under sink storage, but we do have a garbage disposal. It never even occurred to me that there were smaller size bins/tracks available. We have a touchless can that we love (and scored at the thrift store), but it and the recycle bin are stored in front of the dishwasher. So they have to be moved every time I need to load/unload or need to use that counter space. Also, we have several useless cleaning supplies that are just taking up space.

FABULOUS idea!

Angel food cake takes quite a bit of whites, if I recall.

I've successfully substituted egg whites for whole eggs in quickbread/muffin recipes if they're particularly forgiving. I would do something on the order of 3 whites for 2 eggs, but it's not exact.

I'll third the omelet suggestions.

I like to dip Lays sour cream n onion potato chips in my egg salad. Also, if I make a sandwich, the chips have to be in there, like aimeeang.

I like to salt my tomatoes and cucumbers.

Y'know, mine was OK. It was small, as usual, but I would have liked it to be a bit livelier. The food was so-so, nothing was particularly bad, but nothing stood out, either. I think some of it had to do with a few cranky people, too, but who knows. I hope next year it'll be a bit better. I'll be in a new location (::crosses fingers::) and plan for a bit more festive day. We'll see.

I wonder if what would happen if you flattened or spread out the cookie dough in between or on top of the cake batter. To that end, what if you just put the cookie dough dollop on top instead of in the middle?

As the risk of sounding stupid, I *never* thought about making "real" strawberry milk. I always assumed it was only the fake stuff. I love strawberry milk, but haven't had it in years because I don't like the taste of it. Thank you.

Might I also add that you should use coconut oil. Tastes just like movie theater. Butter tastes best but does not agree with me :(.

For kettle corn, I use a sugar amt equal to the oil. I add in the sugar when I add in the corn, otherwise it will burn.
