I have almost the same set up as Thomasona--I have a Kinesis Advantage though http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/advantage.htm and go between this and a Wacom tablet to mix up my motions. I have also installed a free program on my computer called workrave that forces me to take mini breaks and stretch every 5 minutes or so. Which has helped a lot...that and the acupuncture I just started! My desk job is killing me! No More Aching Wrists: Shopping for an Ergonomic Keyboard |

We did this same idea using rope light under the bottom railing of our deck. Great ambient light on a nice summer's evening. Add Under Counter Glow on the Cheap DIY Network |

Perhaps you could do what Martha suggests and apply lines of acrylic-latex caulk on the bottom of the rug every few inches to give the bottom of the rug some grip. Secure Rugs in Place on Carpet? Good Questions |

The lighting in your home will dramatically affect how the white reads in the room. Pick 10 white paint chips or so that you like, tape them on your walls and look at them throughout the week in daylight, evening light, etc. One by one you'll keep plucking them off until you get the one. Mine was BM OC-131 White Down. Really nice warm white. I too had a scarily painted condo and painted everything in this white. Such an improvement. Do get a good primer. I had to prime 2 times before I could then paint 2 times! A lot of work, but well worth it! Good luck! Help Selecting White Paint Brands & Shades? Good Questions |

Do you know about http://www.20x200.com/ ? They have original artwork starting at $20. I would imagine you could find something on here within your budget to help with the bare walls. Seems affordable enough that you could even do a "collage" of sorts with many small prints. How To Decorate Bare Bedroom Walls? Good Questions |

Forgot to mention our technique: Ripped off as much paper as possible by hand first and then used a home pesticide sprayer (worked amazing--long, consistent spray) with a mixture of hot water and purchased generic wallpaper stripper mix. Let it soak for a minute and then peeled it off. Followed up with wiping down the walls with a wet sponge to get rid of any excess glue. Voila! Hire your own or your neighbor's unemployed college kids. My boyfriend and I removed all the wallpaper (unsized) in my mom's house--living, dining and two bathrooms--one summer during college. It was a mess and a long tedious job. What she paid us was a steal for her and we thought we were rich by the end. And yes, beer is required. I'd spray the wood with bitter apple so he doesn't do it again. That's what I did when our dog did the same thing. However, I just sanded it down a bit and painted over it again since it was in an inconspicuous spot. Good luck on fixing! Help! My Dog Ate My Windows! |

I have a sunroom in my place that is tiled and it was freezing until we put down carpet. I recommend going to Home Depot, getting the speckled foam carpet pad to help insulate, and a carpet remnant and cutting to fit wall to wall. This is what we did and it helped dramatically! You could also check out the cut to fit cellular shades. These definitely help insulate the windows and then do room-darkening drapery for when you are sleeping. You will still probably want to get a small space heater. Advice for Setting Up New Home in Sunroom? Good Questions |
