This was my question! Thanks for all the ideas--I have ordered a small dehumidifier and also picked up some Concrobium anti-mold anti-mildew solution from Home Depot, which I'll be trying out this week.

To your point, SJ, it may indeed be blackish mildew instead of "black mold." Anybody know how would I go about identifying it as one or the other?

Lidia Bastianich has a killer braised celery recipe involving oil cured olives and tomato paste. I like to mix it with penne or strozzapreti for a filling vegetarian dinner.

Quinoa and radishes is an awesome combination! I'm also a big fan of the quinoa/bulgur/feta/radish/olive salad on Epicurious.

My boyfriend and I had Thanksgiving this past weekend because I'll be traveling on Thursday. We made a few recipes from the NYT's recent Thanksgiving list: roasted root vegetable galette; celeriac soup with chestnut puree; and green chile and apple pie with cheddar cheese crust. It took all day but the results were so satisfying!

The black boxes in the hallway seem to be shoe storage, is that correct? They would be perfect for my narrow hallway!

Has anyone ordered from novica.com? They have some attractive jute rugs for not too much. I've been intrigued by them for some time and was wondering if anyone has had positive (or otherwise) experiences.
