I lived right next to the 401 (busiest 8 lane highway in Toronto, Canada) . At first I couldn't sleep but within 3 weeks it became background noise and I no longer heard it. When there was no traffic at 3:30 to 4:00 AM I would wake up from the lack of noise. LOL! Start with earplugs and 12 minutes of meditation. Mix it up.Have fun with it. I have Willow, Delft, Asian, Danish modern blue and white china that I have been collecting since 1969. My table settings have some of each pattern with a contrasting color as background. Over the years I have used yellow, hot pink, lavender, and turquoise. Right now it's green thumb (Benjamin Moore). Perhaps some colour on the walls and more furniture. Every thing is white in the empty space so the parquet stands out. .Add an area rug and only the border of parquet will be visible. Once the room is furnished and has a focal point (art work?) the parquet will become background. The floor IS beautiful and this from a person who loves to paint everything! Pull the wall paper. Paint the walls a very pale warm grey-a few shades lighter than the grout between the tiles. Paint the mirrors that same shade. Clear the counter of stuff. Add a woven basket of NEW fluffy white towels. Keep it simple/spa like. Pulling down the tiles is a big messy job. Good luck! Updates For This Bathroom in House For Sale? Good Questions |

I have struggled with this question too. Had cats and have multiple dogs that shed good amounts of fur twice a year. A gnarly Harris tweed would probably hide the hair. LOL NOT fun to sit on. Soft Robin's egg blue, satin finish. Combining different shades of blue is modern. Satin finish on older pices is easier than high gloss and it dosen't show dings and scrapes. Cool desk! What Color to Paint Desk? Good Questions |
