I'm super happy with my LG's: fridge, front load washer & dryer. They're really quiet, which is great when you live in an old apartment where the sound carries like crazy.

I totally agree with everything SherryBinNH said- it defnitely looks like a printed paper laminate which is why it was so easily damaged by the overly sticky tape. The painters should have known better!

Fresh perspective on layout, access to trade-only fabric/wallcovering, and mostly help with lighting - my major downfall.

I first tuned into AT because it showcased creative decorating in small spaces. Thankfully there remain a lot of ATers who are an excellent resource for reusing, recreating and reviving spaces for little or no money and staying green at the same time.

It's a sustainable and less expensive way to build a house - very tempting!

some of these comments are too funny (I've read them all - a rarity!)

I have a tp roll question: in our 1950s bungalow we have a tiled-in toilet roll holder that is too small for today's "jumbo" rolls. I need an extender - anyone know where to get one or how to make one?

I agree with both sides... life is a compromise. He puts the seat down in exchange for my installing the roll waterfall.

I have to say Magic Eraser is worth its salt - when we moved into our house there was 20 years of crud in the tub and the grout and the Eraser is the ONLY thing that could take it off and enable me to talk my husband out of ripping the whole bathroom out!
