I sometimes neglect to read through the recipe before getting started and I'm definitely guilty of overcooking veggies.

This is my favorite Bloody Mary mix. We used to buy it when we lived in Portland, OR. But we couldn't find it anymore when we moved to the Southeast. So over the years we would pick it up during family vacations. Then we started ordering it online by the box. So delicious! Love the spiciness and texture. Glad more people get to know about it.

I hate the container drawer. Hate it, hate it! I organize it, but it all falls apart after a day or two. This is not solution-oriented. But thanks for letting me vent.

I've used mayo on the outside of the bread when making patty melts. It worked well and tasted great!

I'm the "not a breakfast person". I'm also not a morning person. Perhaps the two are related. I just don't feel hungry in the morning. But I know it's better for my health and state-of-mind to have breakfast so I try to force myself. I'm successful about three times a week.

Yes, it looked daunting. And my husband looked at me like I was crazy. But I followed these instructions and my sink looks great. It had gotten grimy, lost its shine and needed some love. It really didn't take that long. Thanks for the step-by-step.

This drawer is an absolute necessity and yet it makes me completely crazy. Thanks for the reminder that it's time to organize.

I purchased the Olliegraphic personlized plate & bowl after seeing the original post. So, so cute! They've held up well so far.

I've had the Stendig calendar in my office for the past several years. I love it and so do the people who come see me. My husband got a hankering for it, too. So I ordered one for his office. Now we work together - and share an office - and have both calendars hanging in it. They're great once you get used to the Mon-Sun deal.

Thank you for this. I hate the self-checkout and I'm happy that others feel the same way. I've noticed the self-checkout creeping beyond grocery stores. For example - Lowe's. At my Lowe's, they're always trying to make me go to that line telling. When I say I prefer not to, they assure me someone is there to help me. If there's someone to help, why can't that person just help me at the regular checkout? Ok. Thanks for letting me vent and for offering some tips when I'm forced into the dreaded self-checkout line.

My husband and I have pretty much eliminated gift exchanges with our families and each other. It's cut down on stress - and clutter - in our lives. The biggest problem is figuring out what to buy our three-year-old daughter. But that's actually a fun problem to have!

Thanks. I'm new to the wonders of challah. Our daughter now brings home a loaf each Friday from preschool and we need something to do with it other than just toast and French toast. I'm making this this weekend!

Like many others who've commented already, we use blurb. We create an "Eliza book" each year with our daughter's photos. We print a hardback copy for grandparents and aunts for a Christmas gift. It's been a huge hit. And our daughter loves looking at the books. I highly recommend it.

We eat family dinner together every night. We sit down at the table, set aside our cell phones, turn off the TV and eat together. Granted, our daughter is young and this might be tougher when she gets older and has activities and homework. But I like to think that we're establishing good patterns early. And it's interesting what an almost three-year-old will tell you about their day at dinner.
