I love the fact that I can put anything hot on them, but hate how dirty the grout gets. Yes, I can clean it with 409 or Comet or something, but food particles just get ground in when I try to wipe with a rag. I have to get out my dust buster to clean up broccoli bits before I wipe the counter. It's a toss up, though - I might like the fact that I can put anything hot directly on them a bit more. If you live near western PA, All-Clad has a factory sale 2x a year. Once in June (I believe) and another one in early December. The discounts are nuts. I got 60% off on a 14" skillet because it had a ding in the handle. And a copper core pot, which I do definitely recommend for chocolate and cream things. Cooks Illustrated did a head to head a few years ago on All-Clad vs. Tramontina and said that All-Clad was better, but for the price, Tramontina was the next best thing. I just made a big batch of sloppy joes (Rachel Ray's recipe, but with ground turkey instead of beef) for a friend who just lost her grandmother. I gave her some ready to eat, then put another four servings or so in a quart freezer bag, along with buns and some Alexia sweet potato fries for the freezer. She said it was the "Hanukkah of sloppy joes!" They were able to eat for several days while she was getting photos ready for the funeral and not really thinking about eating. Pulled pork freezes really well, too. I love the quart freezer bags because they hardly take up any room in the freezer if you lay them flat. Ideas for Food-Related Sympathy Gifts?Recipe Questions |

Yes. These are amazing. My new go-to Christmas recipe. We invited some of our Chinese grad student friends over to decorate and had a blast! (And one one friend who normally isn't too fond of sweets snuck 4 cookies before they were even decorated.) So good! Cookie Recipe: Best Cut-Out Sugar Cookies |

My husband got me a culinary walking tour of China Town in Philadelphia a few years ago for Christmas. It was awesome! So, we got a weekend away and some amazing Chinese food. Joseph Poon's tours are a blast! Holiday Gift Alternative: Give an Experience! |

I've been doing Hot Pot Parties for years with my Chinese friends, at least one every winter. We use a deep fryer for the broth. I just have a cheap Presto one and it works great. The basket keeps things from getting lost in the bottom. It's some of the best food I've eaten and we just sit for hours and hours, eat slowly and talk a lot. It's great! I've been buying some coupons on eBay for healthy things that we buy often, like Kashi cereal for example. Every few weeks it seems like Target will have buy a few get one free, then pair the manuf coupons with Target coupons from their website, you can get some pretty good deals if you buy a lot at once. My newspaper doesn't have the best coupon selection, so I use eBay for things we buy all the time. How Can I Save Money or Find Coupons for Healthy Foods? Good Questions |

Wow, thanks everyone! That was my question! Well, I made the lemon bars (my husband's grandmother's recipe, tweaked a bit). Unfortunately, I saw the post just a few hours after I sliced them!!! BUT I ended up sprinkling powdered sugar on them before I sliced them because I was a little short on sugar for the recipe. They were completely cool but some of the sugar settled into the top. They didn't slice perfectly, but the drag was significantly better. It was almost like the sugar set the top even more. I'll be trying all of the great ideas next time, though!!! - Kerri What's the Best Way to Neatly Slice Lemon Bars? Good Questions |

I couldn't believe it actually worked! My mom got me one for Christmas and I scoffed (in my head of course). I used to triple or quadruple wrap onions in the fridge - glass bowl, plastic wrap, put that in a freezer bag, then sometimes into another bag. Or like the above commenter, making sure that the entire surface is touching the plastic wrap. But that still never sufficed for me. I can't stand opening the refrigerator for breakfast and getting slapped in the face by an onion. So, to my super sensitive sniffer, this works! Product Review: The Onion-Shaped Onion Saver |

I'm the mom of a 3 week old and this is BY FAR my favorite baby product yet. We use this downstairs during the day for her to nap in. It folds up flat and hardly takes up any room. I had a zillion stitches, too, so it's much easier for me to manage and she's happy to sleep in it. I'm already buying more for pregnant friends. Great product.
