I'd be shocked if TJ's didn't take it back. I just talked to a manager yesterday about a product I didn't like and they said to just bring it back, no problem! (No receipt required either!) I agree, chocolate chip cookies with big almond/chocolate chunks sounds awesome. The trays are great, but I'm more interested in the white, raised circle backsplash in the first photo. Any ideas what it is and where it's from?! Trays on the Countertop: Keeping Things Organized and Close at Hand Kitchen Gallery |

Ganache! I love having a fudgey dark chocolate spread available when the chocolate urgency strikes. Alton Brown's recipe is great. I make a sandwich with french butter cookies and freeze them for indulgence on the go! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/ganache-recipe/index.html What Can I Make With Whipping Cream Besides Whipped Cream? Sounds a lot like David Allen's "Two minute rule" from his book "Getting Things Done." If it takes less than two minutes to accomplish, do it now! Sometimes I up that to five minutes and it's crazy how much stuff you can get done! The New Year's Resolution to Rule Them All |

I'm about to try www.dailyburn.com. I've used their calorie tracking app before and I keep hearing about their videos. This one has a monthly fee though ($10) but the first 30 days is free. I'll pull the trigger soon. You get unlimited online access to their video library (I believe some of the videos are produced by some of the BeachBody folks, a.k.a. Insanity and P90X). I'm just getting too bored at the gym and don't know enough to create my own routines. If this works, I can cancel my gym membership, save a few bucks and work out in the basement. We'll see! I would have left my stems whole to make pickles if I'd have seen this yesterday! But my two year old thought it was rhubarb so she walked around the house munching on the raw stems. (Her dad likes to eat raw rhubarb - not even dipped in sugar!) 5 Ways to Eat Chard Stems |

Made this tonight. Added spinach from the garden to supplement the arugula. Also added a clove of garlic when I was wilting the greens. Loved it! Dinner Quick: Arugula with Orzo and Garden Tomatoes |

I love the fact that I can put anything hot on them, but hate how dirty the grout gets. Yes, I can clean it with 409 or Comet or something, but food particles just get ground in when I try to wipe with a rag. I have to get out my dust buster to clean up broccoli bits before I wipe the counter. It's a toss up, though - I might like the fact that I can put anything hot directly on them a bit more. If you live near western PA, All-Clad has a factory sale 2x a year. Once in June (I believe) and another one in early December. The discounts are nuts. I got 60% off on a 14" skillet because it had a ding in the handle. And a copper core pot, which I do definitely recommend for chocolate and cream things. Cooks Illustrated did a head to head a few years ago on All-Clad vs. Tramontina and said that All-Clad was better, but for the price, Tramontina was the next best thing. I just made a big batch of sloppy joes (Rachel Ray's recipe, but with ground turkey instead of beef) for a friend who just lost her grandmother. I gave her some ready to eat, then put another four servings or so in a quart freezer bag, along with buns and some Alexia sweet potato fries for the freezer. She said it was the "Hanukkah of sloppy joes!" They were able to eat for several days while she was getting photos ready for the funeral and not really thinking about eating. Pulled pork freezes really well, too. I love the quart freezer bags because they hardly take up any room in the freezer if you lay them flat. Ideas for Food-Related Sympathy Gifts?Recipe Questions |

Yes. These are amazing. My new go-to Christmas recipe. We invited some of our Chinese grad student friends over to decorate and had a blast! I've been doing Hot Pot Parties for years with my Chinese friends, at least one every winter. We use a deep fryer for the broth. I just have a cheap Presto one and it works great. The basket keeps things from getting lost in the bottom. It's some of the best food I've eaten and we just sit for hours and hours, eat slowly and talk a lot. It's great!
