No worries! Gus is half basset half and half cattle dog and is not senior (6 yrs old.) agility is not a problem for him. He is able to easily jump in and out of his "throne" which is one of his favorite places to lounge.

Yep. A good thing to keep in mind is that NYC vacancy rates for rentals is less thing 2% so there is not a huge selection. You take what you can get in your price range.

Quick release wheels make this a breeze. Because of the radiator pipe horizontal hanging was easier for alternate access to all bikes (ie we don't have to remove one to get the other out).

Hi- The wheels are removed because the bathroom isn't wide enough to fit the bikes with the wheels on them. I too would love to see some small spaces from other places, other creative uses of small spaces are where we get a lot of our ideas.

We sewed our own duvet cover using Crypton fabric. The dog hair can be easily vacuumed off and spots can be spot treated, but it still can be laundered. The perfect fix for a dog that won't stay off the bed (we live in a studio so we can't exactly shut the door to keep him out of the bedroom).

I am a historic buildings conservator and I just want to clear something up. NEVER NEVER NEVER sand blast or use abrasives on brick! Bricks have what is referred to as a "fire skin" a less porous skin on the exterior surfaces. This makes the inside of the brick more absorbent than the exterior. Once sanded away you expose the more porous internal clay body. Making your brick more susceptible to decay and weathering, eventually requiring total replacement of the brick and the surrounding material. So to answer your question, a Ph neutral (Ph 7--Ph can be found on the MSDS available online or with the product) paint stripper is your best bet (an acid stripper can etch the surface of the brick). Ones that I generally suggest testing is Peel Away 7 or Smart Strip.
