I love that! I think the wrapping is just as important as the gift because if it's wrapped beautifully, you feel that much more special when opening it. My pet peeve is when people send gifts from websites directly to me so they're unwrapped.. it's so impersonal like they felt obligated to buy me something so they just go online and ship me something at random. I almost feel bad about it like I'm forcing them to think about me..

Cute as an ornament but using it for drinks, even if withstands the heat, is naive..

This happened with my old iphone 3gs with my new macbook pro (up until Oct when I got the 4s and now it's fine).. When I would charge it in the car, it would also say this if it was too hot. I'd let it cool off and then it'd start charging again...

There's only one kid (my own and she's 3) at our holiday gatherings as the other kids live states away.. She eats with us. When I was a kid there was a separate kid table and I hated it so I wouldn't do it to kids now..

That is really expensive.. $75 for that white bunch?! I'm surprised you didn't faint! I felt uncomfortable watching this.. not sure what it was.. lol. I buy flowers every wednesday from my farmer's market.. I get 2 bunches of whats in season (lately it's dahlias and gerber daisies) and I pay $6 total. I live in San Diego....

I think gift cards are lame. They're impersonal and they can see how much you spent.. then you feel pressured to get a card for a larger amount than you'd spend on an actual gift so you don't look like a cheapskate... maybe that's just me...

Everyone I know that would invite me for dinner already knows I don't eat meat so this wouldn't be a problem. However, if in the event this happened to me, I'd just go and eat the side dishes since meat is usually the "main" dish.
If I was concerned the whole meal would be meat I'd just skip the party and invite the host out at another time.

My grandma collected bells. I inherited them when I was probably about 9-10 years old.. I had them displayed in my room but 1. they were really fragile and I didn't want to break them and 2. I felt her lingering spirit around them and it creeped me out big time. We boxed them up and I think my dad has them in a storage unit somewhere...

Pb&J, bag of chips or crackers, juicebox and an apple. Kind of boring.. sometimes my mum would include homemade chocolate chip cookies. In 1st grade I'd have a pickle in my lunch and my friends would look at me like an alien so I told my mum to stop putting them in there.

No.. Unfortunately, in my apartment building, the neighbors on all sides of me don't speak English and I don't "know" any other neighbors in the rest of the apartment complex. So until I learn Spanish or move, I won't be bartering.

I like small spaces because I find them cozier than large homes. I could never live in one of those celebrity mansions. The smaller the better. If I lived alone (I have a bf and child) I'd be living in a studio. Right now we have a 1600sq ft. 3 bedroom apartment which is more than enough.
