So lovely. It's interesting to see how some of the most cozy, welcoming kitchens out there aren't the perfect built-from-scratch ones where every detail is just right, but the well-worn rentals that just seem to radiate warmth and light.

I bought a big wicker basket (not specifically meant for bikes, but it had the right dimensions, is very strong, and a lot lighter than a metal basket would be) and had my bike shop fasten it onto the rack over the front wheel - it's a lot sturdier than it would be if it were hanging from the handlebars the way a lot bike-specific baskets are designed to do.

This is awesome. It looks like an entirely new kitchen - and for under $500? Undeniably fabulous. I love the wallpaper you're using at the back of your open cabinets.

This weekend is going to be all about French baking. I'm thinking of tackling croissants and macarons - both for the first time. Too ambitious?

Such a gorgeous, light-filled room! I'm loving the way trays are used to hold frequently-used items - it's functional, and it looks fantastic.

This is probably my favourite house tour to date. I'm loving that slate-blue wall colour, and I think I might have some serious kitchen envy going on!
