In our house this is definitely true.

Sorry I didn't see this till now. Yes they now offer a 7.99 / Month option. If you don't see it available you can email them and they will send you a link to sign up for it.

Is Signing Up For Amazon Prime Worth It?

Prime is worth it. I buy a lot from Amazon and having another video source for my Roku always is a plus! I'm on the 7.99 a month deal with them for Prime now (used to do the yearly price). While a little more over the course of the year - I can choose to stop it at anytime and it works better for me than 79 all at once.

I find my tablet (ASUS Transformer) has been able to replace my laptop for most things. I do admit still having a desktop that mostly acts as a media server for the house, but does serve me well using Splashtop on the tablet for those rare times I need something I cannot natively do on my tablet. I don't think we are quite there yet, but close.

This seems low to me I guess. I'm an Android user who averages 4-8 GB over 4G a month. 25-35 range (just barely though almost to the 35 mark).

Sounds like something I would want, but the price-tag kills for me (and I suspect other people as well).

You know I had never heard of the Clarisonic Mia and didn't know what it was for when I first start living with my girlfriend, but after using the thing, I have to say - it might just be worth it.

@kstrickland85 SoundHound is awesome. It's a different product/company than Shazam. Both basically do the same thing. I just prefer to SoundHound myself.

I love my Spotify premium account, but I'm curious why Rhapsody never gets mentioned. It was in the US before Spotify and has a rather large library. I had it a long time before switching to Spotify and it was pretty good. It's worth a mention. Rdio is also worth a look.

@maraudingcat - I'm guilty of doing this. I have mine set for 8:00, despite the fact I don't actually need to get up until 8:30/8:40, but I find that for me having that time to wake up over time split up in 10 minute chunks works better for me.

I even have my alarm on the other side of the room, but I manage to fall back asleep for 9 of each of those 10 minutes.

But this article has me thinking maybe I should try and move it a little later and just get up and stay up. I think I'm just used to the pattern at this point each morning.

I saw an outlet like this on ThinkGeek a while back, but it required replacing the old outlet completely and was 10 dollars more I believe. This is definitely a much nicer way of doing it. I know what I'm getting next :)

I'm not really sure how this article is useful. Backing up xbox/ps3 games requires the console be modded.

I would also wait for the next iPhone, but in the meantime you could just repair the screen on your 3GS. I just did my girlfriend's screen last night (for the second time). It's really not that hard to do yourself and you can order the entire kit + the screen for under 10 bucks from amazon.

I went with the Roku and I love it now. I originally went with it though as it was the only one that still supported my aging CRT Television since I have yet to make the jump to HDTV.

What's New With TV Set Top Boxes

My method is I use a base password that was actually the very first password I ever made online. I have variations on it.

Replacing letters with numbers is good, but replacing some of those numbers in a pattern with their special characters can help secure your password even more.

Example:

base word: peanut
Base with numbers: p3anu7
Base with capital: P3anu7
Base with caps/special: P#anu&

Typically I would turn the word peanut into: 3P#anu7

The number that would be replaced first goes to the front then a capital letter, special character that shares the key as the number. Then replace the last letter with a number if I can easily remember it.
