Here's a question:
We have one ceiling fan in my house that looks a bit like this:

There are several others like it, but this one in particular, the light bulb burned out (one of those 5 year rings) and NOBODY can get the top off. It's just a screw off cover, but we've all failed miserably. It's so tight you feel like you're just going to pull the whole fan out of the ceiling. My landlord tried as well, as did her husband... no luck.

Anyone have this problem before? Any advice?

You can also make your own out of old t-shirts (or the copious free ones one comes across...). Cut off the sleeves, cut out the collar, and sew up the bottom. Voila! Shopping bag.
