Love love love okra, fried or otherwise. But I'm intrigued by 'If you want to get real crazy, you could throw some thinly sliced lemons into fryer, as well.' Do you mean tossing sliced lemons into the oil to flavor the oil for frying, or do you mean battering some sliced lemons to eat with the fried okra? Has anybody ever had to deal with the smell? I tried to make spring rolls for the first time. Using the Rose Brand wraps, I wet them in a large bowl of warm water, and they worked really well, all the seams adhered, except that the skin smelled like feet...
