I'm reading this as I eat a PB&J that I made last minute!

I am the main cook so tonight as a Valentine's day meal I am taking the night off and we bought some nice cheese to have with bread and wine. I am very much looking forward to it.

My husband is in love with Eames furniture. We saw a really cool exhibit at the LA County Museum of Art about a year ago that displayed furniture design from CA from the 1930-1960s. I'm fascinated with that period and living in LA I think Ray and Charles Eames would like seeing their design in our apartment ;-)

Red pepper flakes since I can use them in the widest variety of dishes.

I don't have any family recipes. I use the internet for general inspiration, but if I know what I want to cook I tend to look it up in one of my trusted cookbooks. I save internet recipes in my email account.

My husband and I use Evernote. I love that I can update his list from my computer (I don't have a smart phone) so he can go shopping while I'm at work. Very convenient!

I love cottage cheese with just a little salad dressing. It's a great snack.

I would love to learn more about spices - even in the most basic sense. Especially combination of certain spices for certain cuisines.

Also sauces/vinagrettes.

My mom (who is an amazing cook) never cleans as she goes and it drives me crazy. I love to clean as I go.
