Even though I'm not a cat person, I love those 3 cat bowls. Where did you get them?

I too find it more comfortable on the floor. I have one of those Japanese kotatsu tables. Perfect. During the day I do use an ergonomically correct desk set up but when I come home I feel relaxed on the floor.

Great find!

I agree, the patina on the chairs adds character. Just add some cushions that compliment the cheerful plant box.

I don't agree with the comment that furoshi-ki is an old persons thing to do. I along with my friends still enclose gifts and even food items in furoshiki.

It's very unfortunate to read from folks living in Japan that traditions like this is dying but I am proud to say that we here in the States are keeping the tradition alive and saving our planet at the same time.

He's a legend in the graphic communication world and I continue to aspire to his process of creating lasting and effective design. Designers forget that it's the creative process that is very important.

We have been very fortunate to have always rented from friends or their parents. Our current home is owned by a very good friend of mine. He's been very accommodating even when my husband lost his job (gave us a break and that break still continues, luckily hubby is working now).

We are very very lucky.
