I ordered this bed and it got delivered yesterday. I had the delivery guys help me set it up since it requires more than one person to put this bed together. It only took 21 calendar days from the time I placed my order to the actual delivery date. I have to say that I was very hesitant about placing an order with Vivaterra due to all the bad reviews but the overall experience turned out to be a good one. The bed is AWESOME and worth the $ in my opinion. **NOTE** I would spend the extra $ to get the platform slats, otherwise, your mattress will be too high. I do agree with other reviewers about their customer service. While the people I spoke with were pleasant they just don't seem to know very much. When a customer calls to find out who the delivery company is, you as the reseller, should be able to give your customer this information. I am not sure who runs their customer service dept. but I think they need better direction about how to go above and beyond for their customers. Reviews of the Viva Terra Gustavian Bed? I have been coveting the Gustavian bed for over a year now and finally splurged to get my dream bed. I FULLY expected to wait 8 weeks for the delivery based on all the bad reviews of this company and b/c the website states it is a 4-8 week lead time. Today, just 21 days later, my bed was delivered. I couldn't be happier!! It is a great looking bed and there are no problems. The delivery guys were awesome!! Their customer service does need some improvement. The people I spoke with were always pleasant but they really don't know enough to be the ones dealing with all the issues. The reason I say this is b/c after I rec'd an email stating my bed had shipped, I called customer service to find out the name of the trucking company who would be delivering my bed and they didn't know. In my opinion, this just isn't good customer service. You should know who the trucking company is and you should be able to tell your customers this information. Now that I know who delivers for them, I am willing to bet they wouldn't mind answering questions from a VivaTerra customer service rep who may need to call upon them for shipment status from time to time. Customers would appreciate the extra effort on your side and maybe you guys could turn the bad reviews around. In a nutshell, yes I was hesitant to place such an expensive order with a company with so many bad reviews but I have to say that I am very glad I took the leap of faith to do so.
