You need to re-think how much stuff you can have in that space. Rather than a large coffee table, think about a C table or two. Otherwise, consider a coffee table that can double as a dining table (one that can be raised and lowered), and have some folding chairs you can pop away in the closet or hang on the wall. I would keep the kitchen open to the rest (no blinds), unless you like a beaded curtain that basically still lets you see through.

Made an order from 20x200 just before they went down and still haven't received it (and it was an expensive one). Got one form email from them about how they are working on things, but no actual response to my queries about my print (has it shipped? will it ship?). So do not recommend at all, even if they go back up.

I have a 1 bedroom place which is about 475 square feet, in Melbourne, Australia. To reassure myself that I would be ok in this place, I did spend a lot of time reading about Manhattan apartments!! The bonus is I do have a deck big enough to put a table on, plus a long narrow courtyard (not counted in the square feet above). I moved from a 2-bedroom, where the second room tended to just fill with junk. Having less space makes me more thoughtful about what I buy. I could have bought a 2-bedroom in the same suburb for similar money, but not such a convenient location. Where I am, I can walk to everything I need, including my work, and I value that more than an extra room. It adds up to an enormous amount of time saved from long commutes and getting stuck in weekend traffic, and I feel like it is also environmentally responsible.

Clean out the coffee machine.

I always preferred darker floors, until I moved into my current rental apartment. It has lighter floors and now that I have lived with them for a while, I really like them and think that it would feel smaller with the dark floors.

Antique tv cabinet. I mean, yes, sometimes it is an antique cabinet that can fit/support a tv. But if it has drawers designed to take dvds and cds exactly.. it probably was made after tv was invented and is therefore not antique.

Agree with janetmc. For a while I used to think this arranging by color was silly. But I also have a visual memory, and remember what the books look like that I have read. So recently, I reorganised some of my books by color. I do quite like the look of it, it is easier to manage than arranging by topic (red book in red area), and it hasn't impeded me in finding the books.
