A very smart person told me once make a list of 10 things you want to accomplish in a single day in the order of what is most important. Try and at least get halfway through the list and that is 5 things less you have to do the next day! I swear when you first hear this it sounds strange, but I started doing it and now there are some days I can’t think of a thing to write because I have done so much the previous days! It is much better than going through days where you accomplish nothing. But, I swear by my daily list and I tell you when you get to that halfway point you are sitting pretty darn proud of yourself! I am getting geared up for a fall cleaning and would certainly use this on the curtains (40 panels) after I wash them. I have several blouses and some slacks that I quit wearing because they came out of the dryer wrinkled. Steaming them would practically give me a "new" wardrobe! Thanks for such a useful giveaway!

I use white vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice for most of my cleaning.
List of the most common nasty chemicals to be avoided at all costs:
Ammonia - check your window and glass cleaner, this is a potential lung irritant.
Antibacterial agents - it is believed that these lead to an increase in “antibiotic resistant” bacteria. Allow the body to be exposed to germs naturally by way of skin exposure and T1 resistance (the first line of defense) will be stimulated. A sterile home does not protect your health.
Chlorine Bleach - so smelly and a major irritant to skin and lungs, potentially asthmatic.
Petroleum - known as surfactants in detergents, paraffins in polishes all derived from the “petroleum pollution” industry.
Phosphates - causes algae to form in water systems which damages marine life.
Phthalates - do you really love that “clean smell”? Linked to cancer and respiratory diseases in lab animals.
Nitrobenzene - an agent in polishes, associated with cancer, birth defects and even death.
