I think either shutters (the thick, white, wooden ones) or a hobbled roman shade would look best in here. I am going in between the two, myself. My blog may help you find ideas: Happy Renovations

Thank you! Yes, Watertown Tile... But every city has great suppliers, it's a matter of finding them! :)

Wow! It's so exciting to be featured here! I will try to answer everyone's questions! I also have a blog called happy renovations

The tile is from Watertown Tile and Stone in Watertown on Arsenal Street. I got the ming green pencil molding there as well, and had them create the shower shelves for me. They are grouted in. The glass shelves by the toilet are by pottery barn! They are in the Mercer line The floor tile was around $12/ sq. foot. Thank you all for the shade advice! I am not a fan of frosted glass, but will definitely think about a white shade. The tile is not slippery so far, and in the shower, it is honed. Our bathroom dimensions are 7 ft. 5" by 3 ft. 7"
In terms of the shower curtain, that is temporary until our glass doors by Prestige Glass arrives!
Thank you again! Alexis

Begging for advice!
We have put in our carrara bianco marble floor. Everything looked fine, but unfortunately, one tile cracked and had to be replaced. I had the contractor put in a new tile, but it appeared very grey once it was installed. Since then, I keep tile shopping to find matching marble, but everytime it is installed, it appears dark grey. But not before installing!
What is going on??? (we've now changed it 4 times)

I think that it definitely is a matter of opinion, and both are fine. I rather like the grey grout, but prefer the white grout in a bathroom. I am currently putting in white subway tile with white grout in my bathroom. Pics are on my blog Happy Renovations
Let me know what you guys think!

The bathroom we are currently putting in is also tiny. However, we found a medicine cabinet that worked! Check out my blog

Mirrors Instead of Medicine Cabinets

I did this in a prewar. We made a bathroom in keeping with the rest of the apartment. We Made it new, but traditional.... we used white subway tile and chair rail, as well as a ming green pencil rail in the shower. You can see it here

Good Questions: How To Update Pre-War?

I used ming green (a pale green that you described as wanting) pencil railing in my all white shower to add some color! I think that would be great!
My blog shows the renovations!
