well done! and I love that it's 18 years old and she's found a way to beautify it instead of replacing it!

I think it *might* work, but I agree gold curtains or other gold touches would help. Also, brass is back, so maybe some "gold" in the form of some modernized brass items would help.

@God is in the Details - I've always like that quote too. It is from Ralph Waldo Emerson, in "Self Reliance".

The solar lanterns are cute, but how are they going to charge if the solar panel is at top and hidden by your overhang? Am I missing something?

You're a true new yorker when you live most of your life OUTSIDE your (often tiny) apartment, in all the coffeeshops, restaurants, parks, museums, clubs, etc. the city has to offer!

Join a gym if your shower isn't working yet, find a local coffeeshop with internet to stay connected, and buy a futon pad to sleep on (use for a dog bed after your mattress arrives). Oh, and your place will be a lot more vibration and sound-proof once your furniture arrives, and you put some rugs down. Best of luck!

One app that I live by is Workflowy (http://workflowy.com/). You can keep and sync outline-style sync lists on your computer and phone and that's it, but it's excellent at what it does. I use it at work for my To Dos and and at home for projects and weekend tasks, and even have my grocery list on it. I suspect Omnifocus is similar, but Workflowy is free.

Sorry to be a realist, but how do you hide the cords (imac & radio in pic 3, etc)? and how do you plug in a lamp when they are in the middle of the room? (pics 1 and 4)

not quite the same style, but i've previously considered purchasing the Lubi Daybed ($899) by CB2. Perhaps that will work for you?

for fans who really want to "get the look" there's Wear Sherlock - http://wearsherlock.tumblr.com. It showcases the clothes and props seen in the show as well as providing links as to where to buy them. Click on the Archive - it's pretty thorough!

Ok, so I was going to refer to my original comment and stand corrected about the what is apparently the proper use of the word "cum" in the latin sense. I learned something here, and humbly admit I was wrong.

But, I was surprised to find apartment therapy deleted the original post. AT, please explain how that post was afoul of your policy and was censured and deleted! I said nothing offensive and I sincerely though it was something you would want to change. I don't think it's fair of AT to delete posts just because they don't like them!

wow. I like how they've kept it dark and cozy (makes sense for viewing movies!) instead of fighting the nature of the space. Also the curtain hiding the fuse boxes and such is a great touch and adds a nice softness to the space!

stunning! It's been my lifelong dream to renovate a vintage 70s airstream. When insomniac, I regularly troll craiglist ads for one, but it's just not in my budget right now. This is one of the nicest I've ever seen!

ooh, this is perfectly timed. I think I'll head to Hoboken's Farmer's Market which is today and get some fresh (Jersey grown!) flowers. Nice video, I agree with DFig. The simple production of it gives it a good vibe— very friendly and casual.
