Some open shelves instead of cabinets on either side of the window would help lighten the room. And of course painting the rest of the cabinets a light color would be nice as well.

I own a double property and people leave all sorts of stuff so I wouldn't feel bad about keeping it at all. If they want it back they know where to find you.

I vote for navy blue sheets. I think going with a dark will make the colors really stand out.

I actually saw someone pooping in my drive way!!!! I ran out with a bag and made him clean it up and then I hosed it down(for as long as I possibly could!). It was just so wrong!

Our room was our daughter's and we switched so I love that is painted like a magical forest complete with glowing stars and fairies when the lights are turned off : ) I don't have the heart to paint over it. Mostly because it took me a month to paint!

It's an old no-frills bed probably from the 20's or 30's. I have a double that is very similar that I bought 15 years ago at a thrift store. They tend to rust and fitting supports for it are a challenge because the size is slightly different but it shouldn't be too hard to fit something like it. But they weigh a TON! So bring help.

You're obviously not alone on this! I can't count the number of times I yell out "$2800! What are you thinking!" or "Dear god someone had that in their house!". But I have to say the misspellings and frightening grammar are my pet peeves. I really can't stand the nasty posts people put up though, I really don't understand who has so much extra time in their life that they can start little wars over the items for sale. I think the pets section is the worst! I have never seen so many self righteous asses in my life. But still I go back everyday : )

I had a similar problem spot I put up a series of floating shelves for old colorful radios I inherited. I put the tight to the corner and it really added much needed interest to a dead spot
