The one on College Avenue in Berkeley is small. It's limited to the upstairs portion of the accessories store. It shares the space with the children's section. i love letters hung up because of the specific typeface, not the words. my guy's a web designer (and occasional type designer), and to us, typeface IS a form of art. i could really care less for the words that are formed when putting them together... love the font of DIVA and CUP. I have something similar, but it's not a plastic caddy like the one Urban is selling. I too have a clawfoot tub, and have no way to store my shampoo and the like. I found a chrome one at Ross that uses the same idea. There's 2 baskets, enough room for me to store shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap, and shaving cream. It also has smaller hooks to hang a loofah and a sponge. My rod doesn't show any noticeable bends, and is holding up really well. However, since my rod is curved and supported by the ceiling, it could be a different story for people with regular shower rods. Walking distance is EVERYTHING to me. I don't own a car, and use City Car Share when I do need car. The necessities (grocery, post office, bank, dry cleaner) is less than half a mile from my house. I would've done ANYTHING to stay in my Duboce Triangle apartment. After I started to realize how much I was giving up just to stay in the City, I moved to Oakland. Definitely well worth the move. My partner moved from South San Francisco to Emeryville. He couldn't afford to buy a place anywhere in San Francisco. So he made the jump to Emeryville. I live in the City and it's tempting to make the jump across the Bay. However, I just can't bring myself to do it just yet. Something about the City that I love that the East Bay just doesn't quite satisfy. Granted, I am unusually lucky in that I live in a rent stabilized apartment in the Duboce Triangle, where everything is at my fingertips. Not to mention that my commute to downtown takes less than 15 minutes. Perhaps one day I'll too make the jump. Until then, I'm sticking to enjoying the best of both sides of the Bay...
