there is no way to cover or replace that tile at your budget especially since it is a rental. Best bet is to work with the color, pale gray walls, graphic patterned black/white shower curtain, maybe replace the vanity and mirror. Pale gray towels and bath mat.

thanks for sharing that photo, I think it would be worth living in a high rise to have such beautiful parks nearby. I'm from the midwest and have never lived higher than the 8th floor.

Don't paint over it, if you hate it then do a gut rehab and donate the tub/sink/toilet to a Habitat Restore.

In 1989 my parents bought their first home. The previous owner was going to a nursing home so she left a lot of 1950s era furniture. Nothing designer but a lot of nice stuff that I wish we'd taken care of instead of being typical kids. I still have and use the Heywood Wakefield knock off bedroom set (dresser, nightstand, vanity dresser w/ mirror and bench, full size bed). I wish I had the armless sofa, book shelf, curvy armchair. All of that stuff was solidly made.
