I have to agree with mostly everyone. This is tack city! Not only is the glare from the plastic annoying and cheap looking but there is just so much going on with pattern and color. This is headache inducing. Invest in small frames from Ikea or the dollar store and this would look a million times better than plastic ever could. Postcard Art in a Shower Curtain |

@ sthaas: The "bar" is actually from IKEA, I don't know if they sell it anymore. But yes, in craigslist I did a search for cabinets, kitchen cabinets, and pantry. This piece that I found came with 2 frosted doors on top too. We took them off and installed wineglass racks (which you can also find at IKEA for like $5). And yes, we did finish the wood shelves. If you are local to Chicago you should check out the Rebuilding Exchange. We got the wood and got it cut to size for $10 total! Yes, that's for all 3 pieces (at 60 inches each) of reclaimed wood! The hardware mounts we bought at home depot for $1/each. We rented a heavy duty sander from Home Depot because the wood was in bad shape, with paint marks and a lot of roughness. And bought the stain we wanted. Total coast for these shelves that I've seen everywhere for at least 200, we spent about $45. I'm a firm believer in never having to pay full price for most things. If I can't get it used, then I try to find a way to make it! Happy hunting and DIY-ing! Liz & Joe's Cute & Crafty Coach House House Tour |

@ MEBJohnson: Thank you! I instantly feel calm and more at ease when I come home from a long day at work. Neutral colors help a lot in that too :) Liz & Joe's Cute & Crafty Coach House House Tour |

Great idea Jason!! It's the little things that can create a great impact. My next project is stenciling my rug and I'm considering using your pattern, if that's alright of course?! Pattern for Renters: Stenciled Curtains |

@ Anne At Large: For the prints above the desk they are Indiana Dunes South Shore Train line vintage posters. I bought a book of the collection of posters and just framed the ones I liked the best. And the bird is a Charley Harper replication. If you like birds, I highly recommend checking out his bird series! Happy hunting! Liz & Joe's Cute & Crafty Coach House House Tour |

I don't remember what store I bought these legs from on ebay, but I knew I wanted ones with more of a rounded shape and ones that would bring more height to the dresser. Before & After: Liz Rescues an Abandoned Dresser |
