Although this is cute, it looks too contrived as if a stylist just went out and bought everything for the photo shoot. Also, not impressed with your need to put iMac, iPhone and tablet in its own photo.

I urge everyone to replace one of the most poisonous cleaners of all- windshield washer fluid. I started making my own very cheaply and it cleans better. In a plastic gallon jug, add a 32 oz bottle isopropyl alcohol, then fill up the gallon jug almost to the top with water (which is 1 part alcohol, 3 parts water). Then add a shot of white vinegar and a Tbsp dish soap.
*If you live where it doesn't freeze, you could cut the alcohol down by at least half.
Chicago was very cold recently and my recipe did not freeze. Of course, if you are concerned, take a small amount of the liquid and put it in the freezer to test it. Osco had the 32 oz bottles for $1.50, so you aren't spending more to be eco friendly.

Those framed pieces all pushed together makes the hallway so cluttered.

It appears that one would be trapped upon entering with barley a path past the dining table. How do the dogs maneuver without bumping into something?

I go to some interesting food markets in Chicago, and found great jars with super wide mouths from pickles etc. I will cook up a huge pot of soup and freeze 4 large jars. They can defrost overnight and when brought to work, I microwave it and eat out of it. No wasteful packaging and less dishes to wash. Plus, I save sooo much money making my soups!

I've seen this exact apartment before, probably on AT. I love it, but does anyone know if another tenant showcased it in the past? I'm assuming it was someone else since they have only been here 4 months. It would be cool to see two different takes on the same space.

Organization is key. Once I found a home for everything, I know exactly where it needs to go. I do a quick pick up of shoes, books, etc. and it doesn't require any thought. I bought a stack of microfiber cloths from the dollar store and use them for almost everything. Then every few weeks I have enough to fill my tiny washer. I cut some in half and and have reusable swiffer cloths.

How To Clean Your House in 20 Minutes a Day for 30 Days

I love, love, love the outdoor space. The bedroom and bathroom are crisp and soothing. But then there's this gaudy safari 1995 red thing going on. That wall paper overpowers the modern space. Perhaps an accent of the pattern inside a cabinet would make it stand out more than a whole sea of it. Also, everything in the living room is positioned below the middle of the wall, which to me detracts from the height by cutting it in half. I think the space is amazing, though, and you are lucky to have so many windows!

Your point has nothing to do with why we are here, which is to see how people have designed their living spaces. What people living NYC can cultivate their own land? Just go to Rants and Raves on CL if you want to complain.

I love small spaces. This is very cozy and bright, and really all the space a person needs for living. I enjoy seeing apartments that are a bit more real, at least for someone like me, who can't spent $4000 on a sofa and $1200 on a chair. Some of the best things are made, recycled, or thrift. I really love the paper used to cover the light switch and hook rack (or were they bought that way)?

Sleeping Style: Duvets vs. Top Sheets

Spot on home body. Our radiators can get super hot and it's nice to have just the sheet when the comforter is to much.

Oh, for TWEETS, a duvet is a cover that goes over a comforter to protect it, or to change the look of your bedroom.

The whole point of the top (flat) sheet is so you don't have to launder the duvet as frequently and wear it out. Besides a down comforter with duvet, I also have some vintage quilts I use. If I washed them every week they would fall apart. A $20 sheet can be changed and laundered every few days. Plus they are easier to fit in small washing machines.

Some things that bothered me:
-Bright blue counters with cream walls and terra cotta floor-mismatched!
-Horrid sheer curtains over cheap blinds
-Arrange the bed pillows!
Sorry, but lacks interest and character. Maybe she's only 18?
