A fellow Balham-er! So good to see someone else from our tiny neighbourhood on AT of all places. What's spookier is I am wearing the same shirt as Suzann is in the pic. Anyway, lovely, bright home. I particularly love the green vase.

I really like this, it doesn't even seem like the same room! I disagree with the curtain comments too- I think to have floor length curtains would give it too much of a bedroom feel and this is an office after all.

Wow, some people are so brash with comments. I love this place, a cheery and well put-together home. Love the study in particular, but am partial to Kartell..

Budget and availability.

My S.O and I live in London zone 2 and we've had a real shock with the lack of rental stock and prices. We live in 450sqft apartment that overlooks a park. We compromised space for a view that calms you down after dashing about all over the city. But I would love another 150sqft for storage, if we could afford it.

This is one of my faves

Our Victorian house in London is so cold it's untrue. We have the secondary glazing film, thick curtains with thermal liners, heavy pile rugs, and still our noses are cold. In fact we've had to switch which room we sleep in- anyone have any tips for insulating the walls?
But I agree, the film over the windows has helped a lot.
