I would add some mirrors to enlarge the space a bit, white drapes on the windows perhaps. That color is great but dark so add as much white as you can so it doesnt seem dismal at night. Before & After: Guest Room Paint Job |

I think whats not doing it for me is the handles. I would have preferred the same handles but in that same color to what you have now, but it's also not my dresser so whatevs. But that is one fantastic paint job! I usually see the trim pieces mucked up with drips. Nice job! Before & After: Dena's Dresser Update Reader Project |

Often times when I've had issues with thin primer/paint, it's usually just the problem of crappy paint. Not to plug products here but I only use BJ Moore paint and after 3 coats and no primer you can't see anything but underneath. For super saturated colors you're better to prime with a white paint, if you use anything else it will make the color look muddy and desaturated. That counter top mess is definitely a quick fix/scuzzy landlord remedy. I would be tempted to use it on small tables or other small project, but for counters, it makes more sense just to save the money and buy a different one that will last longer than a coat of paint. Cheap short term fixes are never worth the longterm aggravation. The Under $400 Kitchen Makeover…In a Box Rustoleum Transformations in the Test Lab |
