Depending on how big she is, you could use the Ikea tub (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70197588/), which is bigger and deeper than most baby tubs. It's working well for our 2 1/2 year old. And totally affordable at $6.99!

I'd love to know the source for the extendable bed in the 2nd room. Thanks!

Or you could splurg on a comforter cover/quilt and cute pillow case or two and get plain, cheaper sheets. A good quality quilt can last for ages and grow with your kiddo.

You're clearly favoring the plywood selections, but I'll put my vote in for plastic. My kiddo has loved her Little Tikes racer: http://www.littletikes.com/kids-toys/push-ride-racer

Simple unisex design, small enough to scoot around in our tiny Brooklyn apartment and fit in a cabinet, durable enough to hit the city sidewalks, lightweight and wipes/hoses down. And a whole lot less that most of those above at $25!

I'm a fan of hanging hampers: http://www.containerstore.com/shop/laundry?productId=10019624&N=77002&Nao=20&Ntt=door+hamper
I added back-of-door hooks to get them higher up and out of the way: http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10007550&N=&Ntt=door+hooks

They don't take up valuable floor space, are out of reach of my 21-month old who loves to unpack everything, out of sight when doors are open (which is most of the time in my house) and no tops to wrestle with when the aforementioned wee one has got me on the run (again, most of the time in my house. Plus only $15 a pop!

I second the blackout on a tension rod inserted inside the window frame. You may get some light bleeding around the edges, but you'll see a notiable difference. And if you do have curtains already, those will minimize the bleeding.

While I have not tried it on upholstery, I use wetsuit deodorizer for getting out all manner of tough stinks. There are several brands and are available at sporting goods stores or online. For example: http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/NYT36115/?sc=CX11T029&cm_mmc=portal-_-googlebase-_-na-_-rrs206-NYT36115

You just saturate the fabric and let it dry. Probably best to blot on with a sponge and either put in the sun or use fans to dry. Leaving your chair too wet for too long will not help!

Wow! I'm fascinated. So many questions: Is this linked to your home plumbing and electrical? Does the lower tier drain to empty when not in use? I'm sure it would be pretty involved, but would you consider posting how-to - even just the broad strokes?

Ikea has been a lifesaver! I was climbing the walls last year with a 6-week old and a foot of snow on the ground. Ikea to the rescue with acres of climate-controlled room to walk, decent food, quiet corners for nursing and changing tables.

What about cork tiles?http://www.corkfloor.com/benefits.html Eco-friendly, durable, cheap ($3-6 sq ft.). I'm sure you could find a color that coordinated with your existing wood, or they come in cool colors. If damaged, individual tiles can be replaced.

I was a detail-obsessed new mom and tracked all of this stuff in a ratty spiral notebook. I don't think I would spend $20 on it for myself, but think it is GENIUS as a shower gift.

These boxy bags are modeled afer the military musette bags, which are a good size for us petite ladies and will hold all your diaper needs. And they have those all important side pockets. A quick search will yield lots of online options; here is one example:
http://store.colemans.com/cart/musette-bag-p-272.html?currency=USD.

You might have to do a bit of DIY to get it the way you want (add snaps/magnet closure instead of buckles, add a changing pad), but at $13 bucks, you can't go wrong. You won't find them in flowery prints, but I personally like the unisex black and olive options. And dads won't mind carrying them!

Very cute, but really easy to topple - spinner rack and all its contents crashing to the floor and onto whoever pulled it over. Ouch!
