I have this for my lunch at least 3 times a week with either bread, or left over rice. It's also a nice and quick accompaniment when bulking up a meal to accomodate an extra guest or 2! It pretty much goes with everything! Street Food for Dinner: Thai-Style Omelet (Kai Jeow) |

We recently brought a couple of the softest persian carpet/rugs home, and they are amazing underfoot. With their rich color, they also add the dramatic flair we really needed to complete certain sections of our new house. You can have a look here if you want - and if any of you are passing through Singapore or KL, definitely have a look at some of the carpet stores there. We carried ours home in our suitcases, and 8 months later, still adore them!! Complementary Contrasts: Oriental Rugs (and Kilims) with Modern Decor |

I have trouble with time management, so when I first lived alone, I timed literally everything I did. I can tell you it takes 2.5 minutes to unload my dishwasher, another 1.5 minutes to load it, 5 minutes for my shower, 3.5 minutes to put my makeup on, and the list goes on. Seems pedantic, but it's the only way I can be on time and bring myself to do things! Before & After: A 15 Minute Clean Sweep |

Our entryway is almost too large - i don't want a mudroom style area (with shoes, coats etc) but we've already got a pretty large sideboard there, a gorgeous persian carpet, and it still looks... bare. Some of these have given me great ideas though, like maybe a couple of chairs (for ease of shoe fumbling), and a mirror to check how you look before you run out the door is always nice... i use water from my pond to water the plants - no ill effects so far, and since I'm filling the pond from our rainwater tank, I like to think I'm doubly eco-effective! :) Quick Tip: Water Indoor Plants With Pasta Water |

Now that we have massive rainwater tanks, I've decided never to live in a home without one again. Too useful, once installed they're a great passive way to save water, and we save INCREDIBLE amounts using it! What Is Your Green Home Must-Have? Reader Survey |
