Melissa M :Go to a paint store and buy a few different color tubes of Rub n' Buff. You can apply it to the mirror's frame with your finger and then buff it a little. It will tone it down. It's a little waxy, but fool proof. I use it all the time to repair or alter frames. What's Your Biggest Design Regret? |

Milosmom: Make an oilcloth or waterproof cover for your nice table. Or just use a plastic table cloth. Take it off when company comes. When we lived in New York City we used the "Dining Room" as a TV/playroom. I remember once when one of my kids yelled at me, "No eating in the Dining Room!" Write to DWR and complain to them about the salesperson and see what they do. Maybe they'll let you exchange it for something more kid friendly. What's Your Biggest Design Regret? |

Paint them. Painted floors have been around for centuries. Also, the look of twenty five year old floors is not so bad. Touch them up with Old English Furniture polish, or your original stain. Ann What's Your Biggest Design Regret? |

I don't think you can fully appreciate this apartment unless you know how it started out and what they had to work with. Some of the entries are small, but are all glammed up with fancy touches. Daniel created this apartment with no money, no car, and virtually no tools. So he definitely deserves to win. Definitely. Daniel's Amazing Bones Small Cool Contest |

It will take a lot more than a hamper to make me feel like Jean Seberg, but this is a great design. Thanks Cheap & Chic: How To Make a French-Vintage-Inspired Wire Hamper |

One good thing about this chair: It uses belts that you can't really wear. A worn out belt is still good enough for this project. Ann How to DIY Blake's Belted Chair |

What's interesting is that this is the house of a sign painter. She created everything in the house EXCEPT the large gold and red sign in the playroom. The stairs were not made of advertising crates. She made the stairs, THEN painted them to look old. Donna did all this on a budget of pennies. Well done!!! Ann From Junk To Funk In Donna's Handmade Home House Tour |
