After many times spending hours shredding documents I had collected over months, only to see my shredder burn out *yet again*, I now collect a box of shreddables and take it to Red Dog Shred, a company that will happily shred your documents before your eyes in about a minute, for a small fee- I think they charged me about $7 for a banker's box. I'm in northern california, but these places have to be cropping up everywhere. So nice to stop emptying that confetti bin over and over!

We're just wrapping up a total kitchen renovation, and we were able to get a viking double oven, cooktop and hood from Craigslist for one quarter the price of new- it seems with all the foreclosures in our area, some high-end kitchens were getting parted out. We wanted to get a built-in fridge, but too nervous to buy a used refrigerator, we bought a separate refrigerator and freezer from Frigidaire professional. You can buy a trim kit for a built-in look, for the price of a large counter-depth refrigerator/freezer. You have to have a large kitchen to do this though- the freezer and fridge are almost 6 feet across!

So glad I saw this, I have almost the exact same bathroom in my new house and we don't have the money to redo it right now. Taking off the shower door was a smart move! Luckily the tile on the floor and shower is in good shape, and we can get away with just a new vanity and toilet. Bravo!

I actually own one of these in the red/black/white version. I had it in my loft as my living area rug, and whenever I threw a party it was like a magnet. Everyone would crowd onto it instead of into the kitchen like usual!
