I agree with the other posts regarding decluttering and saving your money for the reno.

That said, I think you're cabinets would look amazing in a medium grey, but painting cabinets is a heck of a lot of work just to tide you over for a year.

Love it, definitely my fave so far. This is the only living room with a bike hanging in it I've ever seen that I'd love to live in. And I agree, it definitely looks more spacious than 400sq ft. Kudos!

I say timeless, but I'm biased. There are a heck of a lot of pastel colors in my house. Seven years later I still love them and find them soothing.

I used to keep every home design mag I subscribed to, but I've slowly whittled it down to Dominos and a few issues of Cottage Living only. I've scanned or taken pictures of a few things, but for the most part they were all recycled. I also recycled my folder of clippings that I never looked at. Can't say that I've missed any of them.

The rooms in my little house are so small that often the furniture only fits comfortably one way, in my mind anyway. However, I am continually surprised by what a big difference rearranging accessories makes. I just moved some things around a few weeks ago and it makes me happy every time I look at the new arrangements.

This is a great renovation, well done. I love that you kept the original cabinets, I have a soft spot for them (and have the same ones).

I bought some coconut oil a few weeks ago and am totally loving it as a moisturizer. I prefer to put it on right out of the shower.

Warning about the homemade deodorant above tho, it was too harsh for me. I tried it for two weeks until my skin starting peeling off. Ouch!

I have that radio, not the red cross version, and love it. Although we haven't had a power outage since I bought it, it's still come in handy for using while working or hanging outside, when I want tunes in my tiny bathroom or the basement, etc. Charging via cranking is a bit cumbersome in that it takes a lot of cranking, but the solar charging is awesome!

Eek - Sorry for the multiple comments and non-working links. FF didn't seem to be posting my comment. Here's what I meant:

I have a stairway landing strip in my little house and hooks are my best friend! We also have plaster walls, and hung the hooks from an MDF-board attached to the wall and haven't had any problems, even when I hang quite heavy books from them. You can also use bags hanging from the hooks to store gloves and other cold-weather accessories. See pics here
