I didn't read all the comments, but I bought the cat genie a month ago and couldn't be happier. My cats love it, are absolutely not bothered by the noise of the wash cycle, and will watch it half the time it is running. The hookup and assembly was incredibly easy, it took me maybe half an hour of on-and-off effort. The genie breaks down the waste as it is washing, so it does not clog the tube. One of my cats would hardly use the litter box, most of the time she would poop on the floor near the box, but even immediately after I cleaned it she would not use it. Now? Never see any poop on the floor. My cats are happy and so am I. I've owned cats for the last 13 years and have tried everything from feline pine, to corn, to newspaper-based granules. This is the best system I've ever owned, and its not because I'm lazy, but I do have a very busy life so not being able to scoop the litter 4 times a day used to be a problem, when I got home it smelled awful. Now? Never, it always smells pleasant and my cats love it.
