Oh, and can I add how awesome it is to see how many people love podcasts? Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to downloading some new things.

Another vote for Judge John Hodgman! Every episode makes me laugh out loud, great for listening to while making dinner.

Other faves I haven't seen listed so far:
Nerdist Writers Panel - writers from your favourite shows talk about the biz (warning, this podcast will make you want to watch more tv)
Breaking Bad Insider Podcast - there's a show for every episode! Hosted by an editor from BB, she always gets Vince Gilligan, and sometimes the writer of the ep or the actors (Would love to see a similar podcast for Homeland)

And I forgot to mention, when I was at Milk Bar, a producer from Regis and Kelly was there, setting up a segment where Kelly learns how to make the Compost Cookie.

You can watch that segment here - first it's Kelly at Milk Bar, then she makes them on her own in the studio:

Thank you meg_ues for posting the link to the cornflake marshmallow chocolate chip cookie recipe! I loved those cookies, more than the compost ones, when I went to Milk Bar and recently had a craving.

Going to try the recipe this weekend!

Bought the C&B Petrie in brown a few years ago and love it.

I did ask the salesperson about the cushions becoming flat over time, a complaint mentioned a few times here on AT, and she recommended rotating the cushions every week or so for even wear. Don't do it quite that often, but my sofa still looks great.

I misread a recipe for cinnamon rolls and didn't realize the 6 tablespoons of butter didn't all go in the dough (some was for the icing & buttering the pan). I noticed my mistake before they went in the oven but thought, how bad could it be? They looked great, but were ridiculously rich -- like a cinnamon croissant on steroids. Had to throw them out.

I picked up Seventh Generation's free and clear dishwashing soap because it was on sale awhile back and really like it.

Saw this idea in Blueprint or Dwell a few years ago and considered making one for my small tv. And I was thinking of using some plain red dishtowels to make a cover, because they were the right size. But then I realized I could drape the dishtowel over the tv to get the same effect -- without any sewing or work!

I like the idea, but I've had a more than a few friends be really confused by it. They don't get it at all.

I've read somewhere that the aparment complex in Chuck is the old Melrose Place set!

I'm sorry to do the classic AT thing - but I love your coffee table... may I ask where it's from? I love the design (the little smaller table that's a shelf or could be pulled out on its own)

I never had a dustbot, but I did get spotbot, another member of the Tomy robot family, for Christmas one year. The little guy would zip along and when it bumped its nose into something it would stop, bark and turn around. I still have it, but doesn't work, so it's just a cute paperweight now. But I do remember there being a bigger butler robot as part of the series, and really, really wanting that...

I'd like to see more research in these kinds of posts, please. To say this is "probably" non-leaching plastic isn't enough. Additional research would make these posts more useful and less like an advertorial (a criticism I've seen posted in the comments a lot around AT).

The Ikea Senior pots *are* enameled on the inside -- just in black, so it looks like they aren't. The instructions that come with the pot explain how to season the enamel inside.

I've been very happy with my medium sized one, used it for the famous (infamous?) no-knead bread and it worked great.

Life everyone else, I'm so charmed by this book, and inspired by the fact that Julia couldn't cook until she was 36! There's still time, for everything ...
And who doesn't love the Camembert Madame, who could squeeze and sniff out the best cheese, so it would be ready for the time you were going to serve it? And like Julia, I'd love to see a cheese whisperer at work, and it made me wonder if I could find one in the local fancy cheese shops around here.
A lovely, lovely book - it reads just as if Julia is at your kitchen table telling you about all these adventures. C'est chouette!
