Knowing Eric personally makes this an interesting thread.

All of the "negative" comments are actually justification that he accomplished his goal.

Before this project even started Eric would describe to me the environment he is most comfortable and happy in. It could be paraphrased like this:

"I just wish I could live in a high end lounge or hotel. Clutter makes me uncomfortable. I like clean lines, and I love mid century design. Lighting is my all time favorite design element. I just have to figure out how to get there with no money"

I must be on the same wavelength as Eric. It is very hard for me to understand this "cold" feeling that people describe. I never feel cold in this apartment. I always experience an overwhelming relaxing calm.

It's too bad you can't experience the space to it's fullest with him inside. He could be his own addition. Enthusiastic about life, full of great stories, and always ready to hand you a glass of wine.

Seriously, this apartment IS Eric Meeks, and I think that is the ultimate goal of this competition. Oh, and he is lucky that his beautiful girlfriend was willing to spend hours and hours and hours painting to make his dream come true.

This place is HOT HOT HOT... that's not double hot, it's triple hot.

I'm going to go chug a triple strength rockstar dedicated to you so that I can experience this place on a body shaking caffeine rush...

Nice music selection.

I see a lot of comments along the lines of:

"Where is all the stuff?"

"Two people can't possibly live here"

I am over at this apartment roughly three times a week and every time I go over there I find an Eric and an Ammo inside.

They live here. The trick really is organization and and a very minimalistic attitude.

The only books that are in the apartment are the occasional coffee table books. These two kids have library cards. DVDs = blockbuster online.

You already pay for those books once in taxes, no need to pay again just to clutter your space.

Oh, and kitchen cabinets can store more than kitchenware.

So can the oven... =)

Living room = pretty good!

Bedroom = nasty

I don't know a single girl (or guy) that would crawl into that sheet set and be ready to ride the cowboy who sleeps there.

Bathroom = nasty

You brought all the picture frames home from the flea market! .05 each or whole box for $1

Bathroom = hot.

Couch = not.

Wall = forgotten about.

I love the view into the kitchen. You have a lot of good things going on in that direction. Bathroom is the shizzle. I'd pop over here for a drink.

Great concept. I really enjoy what you did here. Photo 1 and Photo 2 got me excited.

However, photo three is kind of bad.The living room doesn't seem coherent. It looks cluttered. I will commend you for putting some major $ and man hours into this project. It turned out great, but I think more thought could go into the living room.
